Very good user reviews on Amazon
Sufficient processing power for multi-tasking, internet, music, movies, productivity(Word, Spreadsheets, etc), advanced photo and video editing, 3D graphics, virtualization software(parallels), file and harddrive encryption
Memory sufficient for multi-tasking, internet, music, movies, productivity(Word, Spreadsheets, etc), basic photo and video editing
Memory may not be sufficient for simultaneous editing of large number of photos and videos, virtualization software(parallels), engineering and simulation software, etc
Uses conventional harddrive. Higher power consumption, lower shock resistance and longer startup time compared to solid state drive(SSD).
5 hrs battery life is better than average
15.6" screen provides good tradeoff between desktop replacement and portability
Weight of 5.73 lbs is typical for this screen size
Economy display with resolution of 1366 x 768; screen space sufficient for most purposes but less than ideal for graphics design, gaming, programming etc
Built in CD/DVD drive; allows watching movies and software installation from CD/DVD
    Integrated webcam for video chatting
Processing power might not be sufficient for ultra high requirements such as running simulations

The i5-4200M is a full-power CPU, not one of the low- or ultralow-voltage ones that are to... This computer is great for a budget laptop and one for the long haul. I upgraded the HDD with a 250gb SSD (Samsung 840 EVO--$151) , I still have to upgrade the RAM to 8 gb, I installed windows 7 and ... This is my first review on Amazon... Be wary when getting this, I had it for less the 6 months. Soon as I got it out of the box and powered it up I noticed the boot time was painfully slow..I thought ... It's a decent computer at the base configuration. However I upgraded the HDD to an SSD, increase the RAM to 8GB, and put in a 9-cell 7800mA battery -AND now it's screaming!... This is a really nice budget computer with very respectable specs for the price. This is the 3rd computer I have taken for a test drive. I purchased this computer because it was the cheapest laptop I ...

A Core i5 processor is a great, mid-range priced processor for people who use their computers frequently and often multi task. Core i5’s offer enough performance to do stuff like video editing and gaming, and more than enough performance to do basic stuff like word processing, internet surfing, and email.
