Sufficient processing power for multi-tasking, internet, music, movies, productivity(Word, Spreadsheets, etc), advanced photo and video editing, 3D graphics, virtualization software(parallels), file and harddrive encryption
Large amount of memory sufficient for memory intensive applications
Uses conventional harddrive. Higher power consumption, lower shock resistance and longer startup time compared to solid state drive(SSD).
5 hrs battery life is better than average
Medium GPU allows playing most demanding games, but only at low detail settings and resolution, and less demanding games (WoW, Sims3, etc) at high settings and resolution
GPU is not suitable for latest, demanding games (Assassin's creed, Black Ops 2, etc) at high or medium detail settings and resolution
15.6" screen provides good tradeoff between desktop replacement and portability
Weight of 4.6 lbs is lighter than average for this screen size
Economy display with resolution of 1366 x 768; screen space sufficient for most purposes but less than ideal for graphics design, gaming, programming etc
No built-in CD/DVD drive; Reduces weight but watching movies or installing software from CD/DVD will require separate purchase of optical drive
    Integrated webcam for video chatting
Processing power might not be sufficient for ultra high requirements such as running simulations
