Sufficient processing power for multi-tasking, internet, music, movies, productivity(Word, Spreadsheets, etc), advanced photo and video editing, 3D graphics, virtualization software(parallels), file and harddrive encryption
Large amount of memory sufficient for memory intensive applications
Uses conventional harddrive. Higher power consumption, lower shock resistance and longer startup time compared to solid state drive(SSD).
4 hrs battery life is less than average
Medium GPU allows playing most demanding games, but only at low detail settings and resolution, and less demanding games (WoW, Sims3, etc) at high settings and resolution
GPU is not suitable for latest, demanding games (Assassin's creed, Black Ops 2, etc) at high or medium detail settings and resolution
14" screen suitable for portability; not ideal as desktop replacement or gaming

Sleek, modern looks. Feels well constructed in your hands. Very little bloatware, all of it removable. Great screen. So far, I'm really enjoying windows 8.
